The Friends of Hoboken Charter School

The FoHCS provides an opportunity for parents to support the school in an active, structured way. The FoHCS leadership team is comprised of parent volunteers, and all parents are invited to participate in the monthly meetings.
The Friends of the Hoboken Charter School is responsible for ALL fundraising efforts on behalf of the Hoboken Charter School and provides support to the Hoboken Charter School and its students throughout the year.
President - Rainarose Fernandes
Raina joined the Friends as President in September 2023. Raina is mom to a rising 3rd grader and 7th grader at HCS. Prior to taking on the role of President, Raina served as a class parent and also was a committee member for the 2022 and 2023 Gala. She can be contacted at president@hcs-pa.org
Vice President, Marketing & Communications - Jenna Madden
Jenna joined the Friends as VP of Marketing & Communications in September 2023. She and her husband have one child attending HCS. Prior to taking on the role of VP of Marketing & Communications, she was a committee member for the 2023 Gala. She can be contacted at marketing@hcs-pa.org.
Treasurer - Rob Johansen
Rob joined the Friends as Treasurer in June 2017. He and his wife have four children attending HCS. He can be contacted at treasurer@hcs-pa.org.
Secretary - Meghan Hagberg
Meghan joined the Friends as Secretary in September 2023. She and her husband have 1 child attending HCS. Prior to taking on the role of Secretary she was a committee member for the 2023 Gala. She can be contacted at secretary@hcs-pa.org.
Class Parents/Alumni Lead - Nastassia Koyfman
Nastassia joined the Friends as Class Parents/Alumni Lead in September 2023. She and her husband have 1 child attending HCS. Prior to taking on the role of Class Parents/Alumni Lead she was a committee member for the 2023 Gala and a Class Parent for the 2022-23 Kindergarten Class. Friends Trustee - Karen Kelly
Karen has been a Trustee of The Friends of Hoboken Charter School since 2014. Formerly, she was the President of the Friends of Hoboken Charter School from 2014-2017 after serving as Secretary in 2013.
